Brian Copple joined MSU Technologies as a Technology Manager in May 2017. Copple works with faculty and researchers in all disciplines across campus to identify, evaluate, protect and commercialize MSU’s copyrightable intellectual property.
With more than 20 years of experience in technology transfer, commercialization and business development, Copple spent the majority of his career in academic tech transfer thru various roles at several well-known research institutions including Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Michigan and The Ohio State University. He also spent several years in industry as a Market Analyst for Alcoa and Deloitte.
Copple holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business.
